DIY Advent Activity Calendar

I always find the countdown to Christmas to be an exciting and festive time...or at least that's what I tell myself when the stress of Christmas hits. Making an activity advent kind of forces me to stop and create some fun Christmas memories with my kids.

Here are some quick and easy activity advent calendars that you can put together tonight:

I found this garland in the one spot at Target and I printed out some activities that I knew I already had on my calendar, as well as few things that I wanted to do. I added some activities that I want my kids to carry on as a tradition each year such as doing some random acts of kindness one day and taking food to the local food pantry another day.

This advent activity calendar in a jar, found here is perfect because most of us already have an extra jar laying around.

I love how easy this paper chain advent activity calendar is, all you need is a printer and some glue.

I hope this post encourages you to make your own calendar and Christmas memories.

Let the Christmas season begin!

{Real Parties} Sew Cute Lalaloopsy

I've been meaning to post this party for quite sometime. Today is a dreary day here in Northern Virginia so I thought I'd post this bright and spring-y party.

I hope this brightens your day!

BOO to you!

It's that time of year again! Have you booed or been booed? Why not start this fun tradition in your neighborhood or even at your office.

It can be as simple as purchasing your favorite treats or you can get a little more elaborate and include some homemade treats.

This year I made some monster munch popcorn found here, some witches fingers and my homemade pumpkin loaf.

Here are the instructions on how to boo:

Happy Booing!!

{Tutorial} Easter Mason Jar Treat

Happy Easter!

Here's a quick and easy Easter treat that can be used as a favor for guests or a great addition to any Easter basket. My favorite part is that everything inside the jar is edible!

We will be away this Easter and these travel well so I've made them for each of the children we are spending Easter with.

What you'll need:
-one large mouthed mason jar
-one chocolate bunny
-chocolate Easter egg candy
-edible Easter grass (found on amazon)
-bakers twine in desired color

Fill the jar with a small portion of the edible grass. Place the bunny in the jar, surround with chocolate eggs. Close the jar and wrap the top with bakers twine.

Enjoy!!
